Philippa Forsyth BSc RHV
Philippa qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1981 and currently works as a Health Visitor. She has a special interest in children’s sleep problems and understands the importance of a good sleep routine to the general wellbeing of the whole family. She has routinely worked with parents both in group settings and on an individual basis to work towards effective solutions for their problems. Philippa trained with Peter Walker to teach infant massage and with Birthlight to teach infant yoga.
Karen Mardon RHV
Karen qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1984, a Registered Midwife in 1986 and a Registered Health Visitor in 1988. She currently works as an Independent Health Visitor and has over 20 years’ experience supporting families with young children. She is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and is qualified as a Parenting Group Facilitator. Karen’s special interests are the behavioural aspects of parenting and the promotion of good physical and emotional health in the parent and child to enhance the positive aspects of family life. Karen is a member of the International Association of Infant Massage. Karen has also undertaken the Southampton Paediatric Sleep Training Course and trained with the Millpond Clinic.
Philippa and Karen are registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and members of the Royal College of Nursing and the Health Visitors Association. Karen is a member of the Independent Professional Therapists International and the Institute of Health Visiting. They have enhanced CRB clearance. Philippa and Karen currently practice in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.
